The Winchester Model 1894 (also known as the Winchester .30-30 rifle, is one of the most famous and popular hunting rifles in the world. It was designed by John Browning in 1894 and manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1894 to 2006. Many companies still manufacture its copy. The one millionth was given to President Coolidge in 1927, the 1,500,000th rifle was gifted to President Truman in 1948, and the two millionth was gifted to President Eisenhower in 1953. It was the first hunting rifle designed for smokeless gunpowder. Winchester 1894 it was the longest selling shotgun in American history.
