The CZ 805 BREN is the first generation of the Czech assault rifle with variable caliber, developed by the company Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. The weapon was officially introduced in 2011. Experience from combat deployment led to the development of the second generation, introduced in 2015 under the name CZ BREN 2.
